Agape Student Ministry @ Lane Prairie Baptist Church
Students 7th through 12th grades

Agape Student Ministries is a student ministry that strives to be the Agape Love that God calls us to be. As Christ indicated in Matthew 22:34-40, our responsibility is to love "God" first and to love "our neighbors (people)" second.
The loving God portion of this mandate is an ever evolving faith in God through Christ. It is a love that strips away our earthly desires for Godly desires. We do this through in-depth Bible studies, camps, retreats, and prayer. The loving people portion of Christ's words involves putting feet to our faith. We try to accomplish this through monthly mission projects that focus on serving our local community as well as annual national and international mission projects.
We have small group Bible Study every Sunday morning at 9:30am and a large group Bible study with food and music every Wednesday night from 6:30pm to 8pm. Additionally, we have two S.N.A.C.'s every month and other various parties throughout the year. S.N.A.C. stands for "Sunday Night After Church," and is an informal time together where we eat and play games either at the church or at a host home. Please check our calendar for a list current events.

Matthew 22:34-40 (NIV)
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
